Some People Today Prefer to Get Advice for Medical Problems

Some people today prefer to get advice for medical problems and do not want to visit a doctor. Why is this? Is this a positive or negative development?

In the modern era, internet usage is constantly increasing; because of this, many people prefer to take advice from experts with the help of the internet. This trend is increasing in our society. In my opinion, it is a positive as well as a negative development.

The principal reason many people have a negative attitude towards visiting doctors is that it consumes a lot of time. Sometimes, it requires an appointment to meet a doctor. For instance, the dentist is the perfect example. An appointment is mandatory because the special dentist would not always be available.

In addition, in the past, people used to seek help from other people or cure with the help of home remedies due to the insufficient facilities of the hospitals in the villages. But in today’s world, with the impact of globalisation, many new diseases have emerged. Home remedies are not an appropriate solution after some limits because of their terrible effect on people’s lives. It is undeniable that many people attempt to heal themselves with the help of home remedies and internet advice, which result in worse health. For example, many village people believe that wheatgrass juice could heal a person suffering from kidney stones disease; because of this, some people prefer to drink wheatgrass juice without a doctor’s permission, which is totally dangerous for the patient.

In conclusion, health problems are susceptible. Hence it is absolutely crucial to take advice from a doctor rather than healing with internet advice.
