The environmental problems that today’s world is facing are so great that there is little ordinary people can do to improve the situation. So governments and large organizations should be responsible for reducing the amount of damage being done to the environment. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.

Recent articles released by some researchers explain that the world is experiencing significant environmental damage, but the question is, is there measures to be taken to curb this canker?

Firstly, many people (urban areas) perhaps have had less knowledge about environmental pollution and consequences to human life and a threat to other living creatures. In so doing, Non-governmental organizations(NGO’s) and other stakeholders should organize productive presentations such as adverts, campaigns, posters and others to educate the public on the issues relating to our activities that cause the environment to be damaged.

Secondly, there is less use of plastic bottles and other non-degradable products all over, especially in western Africa. However, it dirties the environment and enables flies to have spaces to bleed and cause diseases like mosquitoes causing malaria. The government should create a means of empowering fellow citizens to be creative and reuse this material for other purposes.

Again, people turned out to be ignorant over activities which cause har.m to the environment such as deforestation, fishing with poison, overgrazing with farm animals and others. Concerning such lifestyles, I, therefore, suggest that the law should be enforced and refers punishment to the stubborn.
