It Is Not Necessary to Travel to Other Places to Learn About Other Cultures

It is not necessary to travel to other places to learn about other cultures of other people. We can learn just as much from books, films, and the internet. Do you agree or disagree?

Travelling is one of the most important aspects of everyone’s life. The cultures of various places all over the world can be learnt either by exploring the foreign lands directly or by gaining knowledge by reading books, watching movies and surfing the internet. This essay will explain both views, followed by the conclusion.

To begin with, travelling helps people to rejuvenate themselves from their daily routine. There is good interaction with the local public when visiting other countries. New languages can be learnt within a short span of time through frequent communication with them. Furthermore, it is an exciting experience to make trips and learn by facing challenges in different environments. For example, adventurous activities like scuba diving, skydiving, and river rafting should be experienced once in a lifetime which helps to overcome any perilous situations in life.

Nevertheless, some people consider that to gain knowledge, it is sufficient to stay in a comfort zone rather than travel all around. Firstly, reading books not only increases the imagination tremendously but also elevates our knowledge by improving language skills. Secondly, the internet is considered a rich source of information. We can search any place, and the entire information is available on the screen. For instance, the recent developments in technology have led to the invention of virtual reality. This device has made humans travel to any part of the world and experience their lifestyle with less cost incurred.

In a nutshell, people can learn and gain knowledge either by making trips to various places all over the world or by staying in their homes and reading novels and browsing content on the internet. This essay has explained that both have their own significance and partially agreed with both views.
