Everyone should become vegetarian because they do not need to eat meat to have a healthy diet. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is true some people believe that meat should not be a part of a healthy diet; we should stop meat consumption and depend entirely on fruits and vegetables for the sake of good health. However, while I agree vegetables are good for health, I do not agree people should not include meat in their diet.
There are some people who believe that being vegetarian is good, vegetables and fruits are very good sources of vitamins and minerals. There are many different options by which we can fulfil the basic needs of our body in order to stay fit and healthy. As leafy vegetables are a very good source of minerals and vitamin A and C. Veggie and fruits are stocked with iron and other vitamins. We can fulfil the protein needs of our body by adding cereal, legumes and dairy products on a daily basis.
Stating further, we can also not forget that meats and fishes are a better source of the same. Adding non-vegetarian food to our diet on a day-to-day basis gives us much better health and strength as compared to vegetables. When anyone gets a bone fracture, especially older people in their body, they are advised to consume more meat and eggs because it helps in fixing the bone injury. I am a vegetarian, but when I was getting my pregnancy treatment done to overcome the vitamin D deficiency, I was given a fish oil capsule. I requested the doctor to replace it with some organic and vegetarian substitute, but I was told that the prescribed one would be more effective.
However, in my opinion, being vegetarian or non-vegetarian is completely an individual’s choice, but meat is always a stronger source of all types of nutrients which are necessary for a healthy body.
