You Live in a Room in the College Hostel Which Has Serve Problems

You Live in a Room in the College Hostel Which Has Serve Problems. You would like to move into another room and need your hostel super’s permission for that. Write a letter to the hostel super. In your letter,

  • Introduce yourself
  • Describe your problems
  • Explain what type of room you would prefer

Dear Hostel Superintendent,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. My name is Smith John, and I am a first-year student pursuing a degree in B tech at ABC Collage. I am currently residing in Room 305 in the college hostel. I am writing to request your permission to change my room due to several problems that I have been facing in my current accommodation.

Firstly, I have been experiencing issues with the plumbing in my room. The sink in the bathroom has been leaking continuously, causing water to accumulate on the floor, which poses a slipping hazard. Despite several attempts to fix it, the problem persists. Additionally, the room’s window does not close properly, allowing cold drafts and noise to enter the room, especially during the night. This has severely impacted my sleep quality and, consequently, my academic performance.

Moreover, I have noticed a persistent issue with pests, particularly cockroaches and ants, in the room. Despite maintaining a clean living environment and using pest control measures, the problem remains unresolved. This has led to concerns about the hygiene and sanitation of my living space.

Given these difficulties, I would like to request a room change to ensure a more comfortable and conducive living environment. I would prefer a single-occupancy room in a quieter part of the hostel, away from the main roads, to minimize noise disturbances. Additionally, a room with functional plumbing, proper insulation, and no pest issues would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that there may be administrative procedures to follow for changing rooms, and I am prepared to comply with the necessary steps to facilitate this process. I hope that you will consider my request sympathetically and grant me permission to move to a more suitable room. Your understanding and assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your prompt response.

Yours sincerely,

Smith John
