In many countries,  children are engaged in some kind of paid work

# In many countries, children are engaged in some kind of paid work. Some people regard this as completely wrong, while others consider it as valuable work experience, important for learning and taking responsibility

Sample answer:-

Due to the modern era mostly children prefer to do a part-time or full-time job in their free time. The involvement of muppets in such kind of paid work is always a sensitive or debatable issue. Some people think that it is not good for children’s growth whereas, others argue that it is beneficial for children to utilize their leisure time. Both arguments need proper scrutiny before forming an opinion.

Going with the first school of thought,  if children remain always busy in their paid work such as work in factories, institutes, hotels then they do not have enough time to interact with others. That is the main reason they become anti-social. Moreover, according to a recent study, shocking results come forward. Sometimes youngsters take part in some risky activities such as illegal drugs, alcohol supply because they do work with older co-workers who lead them astray. Apart from it, if the first experience of a job is not good then it may develop a negative view as well as fear in a kid’s mind towards the work.

The opposite school of thought, however, deem that paid work teach them work skill. With the help of this, they will acquire confidence and easily face challenges in the future.  In addition to it,  children who do the job in their free time become more responsible as well as independent.  For instance, in developed countries, most children are doing paid work after age 18 that helps them to improve their standard of living.

According to my opinion,  after the age of 18, it is good to do paid work because it enhances the learning skill, work experience as well as responsibilities. Children who engaged in work gain knowledge about teamwork and leadership.

To sum up, doing work in their free time is quite beneficial for children because they become self-dependent. However, the type of work should be carefully chosen and they should not be allowed to do work more than 8 to 10 hours a day.
