Air traffic is increasingly leading to more noise pollution and airport construction. One reason for this is the growth in low-cost passenger flights, often to holiday destinations.
Some people say that the government should try to reduce air traffic by taxing it more heavily.
Do you agree or disagree?
INTRODUCTION
Air travel has reduced the distance moving from pillar to port. The aviation sector is responsible for pollution, traffic congestion as well as constructing airdromes. However, it has rendered all and sundry a chance to visit exotic places. So, this easy disagreement with the statement that imposing a heavy tax on airlines will reduce the air traffic because it will have an adverse effect on the economy of lower-income groups as well as culture shock will increase.
PARAGRAPH 1
To my mind, imposing a heavy tax on budget airlines will reduce the travel of low-income groups; otherwise’ traveling by air gives a chance to everyone to visit domestic and international flights. For example, if governments levy a heavy tax on airlines; then it would have little effect on the high-income group but the middle class will suffer a lot. They will visit less by air. So, it would be unethical to see that traveling by air would be accessible by wealthy people.
PARAGRAPH 2
Moving further, culture shock will reduce if people travel extensively. People visit overseas or in their own country and they communicate with them and get to know about other’s cultures or traditions. For example, people can visit their own country by other modes of transportation; but when they travel via air they get to know about alien land, and the fear of adjusting with people vanish from their minds. When culture shock reduces, it will help in creating harmony in society.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, imposing heavy taxes on airlines is not a good alternative to reduce air traffic or pollution. In spite of it, it will have a negative impact on lower-income groups as well as create disharmony in the society.
So This is the end of the Writing Task (Air traffic is increasingly leading to more noise pollution and airport construction. One reason for this is the growth in low-cost passenger flights, often to holiday destinations.)
