You Travelled by Plane Last Week and Your Suitcase Was Lost

You Travelled by Plane Last Week and Your Suitcase Was Lost. You have still heard nothing from the airline company.

Write to the airline and explain what happened. Describe your suitcase and tell them what was in it. Find out what they are going to do about it.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the lost suitcase that I encountered during my recent flight with your airline. I travelled on your airline from London to New York last week, and unfortunately, my suitcase has been missing since then.

The suitcase in question is a black medium-sized hardshell case with a yellow luggage tag attached to the handle. The luggage tag has my name and contact information on it. The suitcase contains all my essential items, including clothing, toiletries, and personal documents. The contents of the suitcase are worth a considerable amount to me, and I am very concerned about its whereabouts.

I have contacted your lost and found department several times, but I have not received any updates on the location of my suitcase. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of communication from your airline and would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter urgently.

As a result of this experience, I have had to purchase essential items, including clothing and toiletries, which have caused significant inconvenience and financial burden. Therefore, I kindly request that you compensate me for the expenses incurred due to the loss of my luggage.

I would appreciate it if you could provide me with an update on the progress of the investigation and let me know what you are doing to locate my suitcase. I am hoping that your airline can retrieve my luggage as soon as possible to minimize the inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,
Supriya Radhe Behl

Sample 2 You Travelled by Plane Last Week and Your Suitcase Was Lost

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding my lost suitcase during my recent flight with your airline. I travelled on your airline from Sydney to Hong Kong last week, and unfortunately, my suitcase has not arrived at my destination.

The suitcase is a black soft-shell case with a TSA-approved lock attached to it. The suitcase is medium-sized and has a grey luggage tag with my name and contact information on it. The contents of the suitcase include clothing, shoes, toiletries, and personal documents. I estimate the value of the items to be approximately $2,000 AUD.

I have already reported the missing suitcase to your lost and found department at the Hong Kong International Airport, but I have not heard anything from the airline since then. I am extremely worried about my belongings and would appreciate an update on the location of my suitcase as soon as possible.

The loss of my suitcase has caused significant inconvenience and distress, as I am currently without any of my essential items. I would like to know what the airline is doing to locate my suitcase and when I can expect it to be returned to me. Furthermore, I would like to know whether the airline can compensate me for the expenses incurred as a result of the lost suitcase.

I trust that your airline takes the matter of lost luggage seriously and that you will do everything possible to locate and return my suitcase to me. I look forward to hearing from you soon and thank you in advance for your assistance.

Yours faithfully,
Mitesh Naval Prabhu
