Some People think that public health within a country can be Improved by Government making laws regarding Nutritious food. Others, however, think that health is a matter of personal choice and responsibility. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
It is argued by a set of individuals that Government can improve health standards by imposing laws about nutritious food, whereas others opine that being healthy is a personal choice. It seems to me that being healthy should be an individual’s utmost priority rather than depending on certain laws.
It is indeed essential that Government should educate people about nutritious foods and their impacts on their health. They can conduct seminars and make people understand the health benefits of having nutritious foods in their daily diet. To illustrate, many people do not have knowledge about the amazing health benefits of Indian spices, and by knowing, they can include them and avail their benefits. People should also be encouraged to include seasonal fruits and vegetables also as they are extremely nutritious and boost immunity.
However, healthy standards cannot be achieved only by government governing laws or by educating; it should be a person’s responsibility. Every individual should inculcate physical activity and have a balanced diet to maintain themselves; they cannot expect others to make them healthy. For instance, even after having the knowledge, if people fail to implement them in their life, they will not maintain their health. Therefore, I firmly opine that people should take up the responsibility of having a nutritious diet and follow a healthy lifestyle to be physically fit.
To conclude, the Government can educate people about healthy food but it is the duty of every citizen to take care of themselves by being physically active and having a balanced nutritious diet.
