Increasing the Price of Petrol Is the Only Way to Solve Environmental Problems. (2) (1)

Increasing the price of petrol is the only way to solve environmental problems. Do you agree or disagree?

Environmental issues are increasing day by day. Some people opine that rising the petrol price will decrease the problems related to the environment. I completely disagree with this statement. I will suggest some other solutions to tackle environmental problems in the subsequent paragraphs.

To begin with, rising the petrol rate will increase socio-economic problems. Firstly, middle class and destitute categories are the most suffered if the petrol charge is increased. They earn less amount; they need to pay for their needs and this high petrol price will put a strain on their family budget. Secondly, petrol is not only the one which creates environmental issues. There are fossil fuels such as coal, oil shales and natural gas, which are contributing to a bad environment. These non-renewable resources are the reasons for global warming, climate change, extremely high temperatures in summer and low temperatures in winter. Industries that are using these fuels are causing more damage to the environment than petrol.

There are some steps that need to be taken on a war footing. It is the government responsibility; it should encourage people to use electric and CNG cars instead of petrol and diesel vehicles. As a result, there will be low pollution on the roads. Government should enforce a law to protect the atmosphere and ban the industries which are harming the earth. Individuals should stop using plastic bags and regulate the usage of air conditioners in their homes. All nations should join their hands to control the atmosphere pollution; otherwise, the earth will become not suitable for humans.

To conclude, I reiterate my opinion that only rising the petrol price would not solve atmosphere issues. Other appropriate steps need to be taken by governments and individuals to stop the problem.
