Some Say That Because Many People Are Living Much Longer

Some say that because many people are living much longer, the age at which people retire from work should be raised considerably. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Retirement age should be raised from the work because many populations are living much longer period so consider this a few people mention. I believe by raising the age of retirement from work directly affect productivity as well as the health of an individual. This essay will further explain why we do not consider this as a factor in retirement policy.

All over the Globe, the retirement age from an organization is somehow 60 or quite nearly. This is because the physical strength of a person starts to decline after that certain age and it’s tough to tackle the pressure of work whether it’s physical or mental and also human start suffering from various diseases which leads them to weaknesses. For example, in my town Rajasthan, the government decided a retirement age which is 58 because after this majority of people who belongs to that region have suffering from low blood pressure, joint pain and heart disease, so it is good to release them from the workload and allow them to take care of themselves by providing medical facilities.

Furthermore, in my country, India, people during young age are kept themselves busy and dedicated towards their works and the projects whatever assigned to them and hardly take out time for themselves to spend with family and eagerly wait for the retirement. Such as, My grandfather is a retired Doctor and throughout his life was going on the field by helping society till the last working date. But on the day when he retired, firstly, he went on a family vacation to spend quality time and later, most of the time, he played with children and took care of his medical fitness because he is a heart patient.

All in all, Living for much longer is dependent on person to person as per their health and fitness, and this should not be considered as a retirement parameter.
