Some Claim That Studying Abroad Has Great Benefits for a Student’s

Some claim that studying abroad has great benefits for a student’s home country. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, it is a common practice that many students travel to other countries to pursue their studies. Certain people believe that education in western countries enables one to develop their interpersonal skills and social contacts. A fraction of people opines that this has attributed positively to the home country. This has pros and cons, but in my opinion, the pros outweigh the cons.

To begin with, some students receive scholarships for their studies, whereas others have to pay huge money for this. However, some students come back to their home country for occupation and enjoy the ambience of their homeland. But, in most cases, they may continue in the host country because the standard of living conditions and office amenities are amazing compared to the native country. Still, they may invest their money in the home country, which will boost the homeland’s revenue. This can cause other multinational companies to start their offices in native country and as a consequence of this many local will get jobs. For example, international companies such as Uber, Ola, Zomato, Domino’s have branches in most countries and thereby pave the way to many locals to get well-paid jobs.

On the other hand, since many brilliant students get settled in other countries, brain drain happens. Even though the home country benefitted in terms of revenue, this is a huge loss to the nation where they were born and brought up. For instance, the wisdom and technological skills that could have been contributed to the home country make the native country the developed countries themselves utilise a developed country to broaden their horizon.

In conclusion, even though there are merits and demerits, the merits surpass the demerits. Because of the aforementioned points studying abroad has many plus points compared to the other side.
