Dear Sir,

Through this letter, I would like to sincerely apologize for not being able to ensure my presence in the meeting held on 6th October on the agenda of new marketing strategies. I understand the importance of meeting as we had to lay down plans for next year but my reasons were unavoidable due to which I was absent.

I am sure you will understand my reason after I brief my situation on that day. and I was totally prepared for the meeting the night before and even completed my presentation also till midnight. But as I woke up in the morning I found that my son was shivering with a high fever. He is already suffering from some health issues and has every low immune system so in any such medical emergencies he has to be rushed to the hospital immediately.

So I had to hurry my son to his pediatrician where he was diagnosed with typhoid. In all this rush even I forgot my mobile phone at home and could not inform you about the reason timely. I did not even realize that when the sunset that day due to tension created around me. I hope that after going through this incident you can forgive me as being a father I was helpless.

However, I ensure that I would work this weekend to cover up the task allocated and make sure that such an incident would not repeat in the coming time.
