Movies and computer games containing violence are popular. Some people say they have a negative effect on society and should be censored. Others say they are just harmless relaxation. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Nobody would dispute the fact that the popularity of games and movies containing violent scenes has increased in recent years. The section of the society believes that it has detrimental effects on the community and that it should be brought under censorship, while another group of thinkers consider it as a type of relaxation. Therefore, I would like to ponder upon both before giving my verdict on the same.
Focusing on the former view, the primary argument the allies put forward is shifting the focus of adolescents. Youngsters spend much time playing games and binge-watching such violent visuals. As a result, they might get distracted from studies and shall also have vile effects on their personalities as well. Secondly, due to the trend, health may also get affected. Staring and sitting in front of screens indulges in ophthalmologic disorders and obesity, respectively. Moreover, violent games could also produce mental illness due to more addiction; crime rates increase. To indicate, in fast years, due to the game named blue whale, many teenagers have lost their lives due to its arduous tasks.
On the contrary, the letter view assets that people easily enjoy their social bonding. Rather than spendings time on social media applications, youngsters have adopted the games that are enabled with talking also. Hence, they also get entertained while talking with their friends. For example, the game called PubG has received orthodox attention from its players. In addition, searching movies and games are the best way of removing stress due to the hectic schedule, rather than adopting ethical products that affect health. There are a few games which six thinking skills that eventually helps in releasing stress.
To conclude, both these differing matters held their positions and sense of relevance, respectively. I, still, am of the outlook that balancing both the logic are the ideal way to deal with this situation.
