Question 1:- Why do you think it is important to learn a foreign language?

Answer – I think it is important to learn a foreign language because it helps to foster communication between people and between a community. For example, if I understand the language of a community, I can easily go into the community and Express whatever opinion I have or whatever idea I come with to them in their own language.

Question 2:- How is it helpful to you to speak a foreign language?

Answer – It is helpful for me because I can easily build a relationship with people if I understand the person’s language, and it also helps in my career as a nurse. I can ask about a patient’s condition and also explain the condition to the patient if I understand his/her language.

Question 3:- What is the most difficult part of learning a foreign language for you?

Answer – The most difficult part of learning a foreign language for me is when I learn it abstractly. If I’m trying to learn it by just memorizing it, it is always difficult for me. I prefer to learn it within the community where I can use the language as I’m learning it.

Question 4:- What is the best way to memorize new words?

Answer – The best way to memorize new words is to practice with them. If you’re using the word, you get to remember it often, and it sticks to you; it comes to you easily because you are using it often. So, I can say that the best way to learn is to make use of it as often as necessary.

Question 5:- Is it better to learn a new word from translation or by definition?

Answer – I think it is better to learn new words from the definition. Because when you learn the word from the definition, you understand the meaning of the word deeply, and you can use it in any other sentence rather than by learning it through translation

Question 6:- Why don’t some people know the language of the society they live in?

Answer – This may be due to two reasons. First, maybe the person doesn’t have an interest in learning the language because language learning has to do with interest; if you are not interested in learning a language, you can’t know it. Another reason is that the person might not just be wired to do so. There are some people that no matter how hard they try to learn a language, just don’t understand it; they just keep forgetting. So such people, even if they are living in a country of a different language, might not know how to speak that language.

Question 7:- What do you think of children learning a foreign language?

Answer – Children have a good ability to learn different languages. so I think it is good if children are allowed to learn the variety of languages as it will help them in the future they’ll have the opportunity of migrating to countries even without thinking of language barrier because they can easily speak the languages

Question 8:- Why are some language classes boring?

Answer – This may be due to teachers who are taking the class. If they are not making the class interesting to learners, it may become boring. Also, it may be due to the language itself being difficult to pronounce or to speak for the learners.

Question 9:- Some students hate to learn foreign languages; what can teachers do to develop their interest?

Answer – I will say that teachers can encourage students who are learning languages by making the class interesting with the use of music, diagrams, roleplay and many other methods that can stimulate the interest of the students.

Question 10:- Some people travel for learning a foreign language, what do you think?

Answer – I think it’s an excellent idea because learning the language in the local setting can make the language stay more in the learner’s memory. It can also assist the level of assimilation and fluency of that language, so I can say it’s a good idea.

Question 11:- What’s the best way to learn a foreign language?

Answer – As I said earlier, the best way to learn a foreign language is to learn it within the community because we have a chance of using it more, communicating more with it, and it will improve one’s level of fluency.

Question 12:- Why can some people learn languages fast while others learn slowly?

Answer – Our level of assimilation differs as well as our intellect. Some people are made to understand languages rapidly, while some are built on understanding the language slowly, so in that wise, the level of understanding the language will be different. I think that is why people understand the language faster than one another.

Question 13:- Does one’s age affect language learning?

Answer – I think science has proven that children under five years of age have the ability of understanding languages up to five. Although there are some exceptional people who after five years of age they can still learn different languages easily. the majority of people anyways find it difficult to learn more than two or three languages as they grow older while younger people find it easier to learn the languages compared to the older ones.
